POSimple is an Open Source Access Database intended to be used as a Point of Sale System for a food service business. It is free for any to download, customize, and use as they wish as long as they don't remove the hyperlink on the Main Order Entry Form back to this page.
POSimple is intended to be customized by someone who is familar with Access and VBA programming. It is a very simple database consisting of 3 tables, 2 queries, 11 forms and 5 reports. All events are handled by Visual Basic for Applications code and there are several VBA functions in one Module.

The features of the database include the following:
- Unicode Support for forms and printing (originally developed for a Chinese resturant)
- Ability to dynamically add menu items w/o coding or Access knowledge

- Ability to define categories and nest menu items within categories
Technical Information:
- Microsoft Access 2000 file format (Access 2000 or later required - Access run-time should work too)
- VBA for all events/code (no Macros)
- Easily customizable by those with Access skills
